As well as our in-house scientific team, we have a wide network of scientific researchers with varying specialist technical abilities.
Dates and course lengths can vary throughout the year, and we can provide lunchtime catering as well as accommodation for our onsite training through our partnership with Quest Aparthotel.
Our bespoke courses provide unique opportunities for Continuing Professional Development of your employees, helping your workplace progress and equip your business with the training & skills needed to take it to the next level. A number of our courses are accredited with the Royal Society of Biology to provide CPD points.
Jersey Water
We collaborated with Jersey Water to create a bespoke training programme combining elements from our basic laboratory skills courses as well as our microbiology course.
Over the course of two weekends, 6 staff members of backgrounds ranging from no previous experience to MSc level attended our on-site laboratory in Liverpool to be intensively trained in laboratory skills such as COSHH, serial dilution, pH measurement, E. coli & B. subtilis culture in liquid broth & agar plates, optimisation of culture media, environmental monitoring, growth kinetics & colony forming unit calculations, and isolation of thermophilic bacteria from compost samples.
